How to make your Schedule Feel Like a Habit

Its 2026 and lets be honest, how much did we really get done over the course of the last year? For me, not much. I tried to push through hurdles which were stopping me from achieving my goals, by using the wrong method. But this was hard because I couldn’t even get organized. But then I had an idea, what if I organized my day around checklists, and schedules that I could have neatly laid out on my phone and laptop. For publishing videos weekly I have my Notion documents, while my day to day uses a Google calendar.

This feels crazy to say, but after doing this for so long now, everyday feels like a habit. Which is awesome because I don’t even think that I’m that consistent, nor do I follow the schedule to a tea. I simply get the tasks done at the time they need to be done. Sometimes, if I take too long to finish something, I simply finish that task first and then go onto the next one. For me its a matter of momentum and doing the same thing everyday rather than doing them when they come up in my mind. This means that I’m regularly posting when I need to.
Over the course of months and years it means that I’m going to post hundreds if not thousand of videos, which are all going to be able to provide you value. So consider subscribing, as its free and helps sustain my work, and provides you with constant value. That being said, here is the method that I use to write up my schedules on Google Calendar and checklists on Notion documents:
For your google calendar you want to use hour by hour blocks for your large tasks. For example, tasks like gym and walk each take an hour. However, between these 2 activities I also do my YouTube work which can take multiple hours so I have that blocked out. That being said, all these tasks only start at the start of an hour, and end at the end of the hour. Doing this makes it easy to follow and remember, as well as making the overall schedule more neat.

Another tip I would give is to make sure that its not an external factor thats effecting your ability to get work done. All be it sleep, or another aspect of your mental health. I’m no doctor but there are some really easy steps that you can do right now and over the next couple of weeks to make sure that your mental health is up to check. These are meditation through the medito app linked down below, gratitude journaling and some sort of exercise whether it be weightlifting or running.
