This warp drive works like this:
Space is contracted in front of the aircraft and expanded behind it. Whereas the spacecraft itself sits in a bubble that does not move.

If anyone knows a good GIF diagram of a sci fi spacecraft using a Alcubierre Warp Drive, paste the link below.
During a warp, it does not feel as if the spacecraft is accelerating.
To put this into perspective, when a car starts moving from rest:
1. Man puts foot on accelerator and presses down.
2. Car lurches forward from rest.
3. Coffee cup on dashboard spills all over him because of Law of Inertia.
4. You drove the car into a stationary pile of coffee, spilling it over yourself.
Inside the Alcubierre Warp Bubble, you will not feel the ship move anywhere and the coffee cup will not spill. This is because the spacecraft is free falling in a stationary region of space.
